I’m going to admit right off the bat, that this recipe is in no way modified to be healthier. The reason it has been featured in today’s post is that I used the banana bread as a means to utilize and remove the remaining Easter candy from our home. Those Reese’s miniatures were sitting in a bowl and begging for someone to eat them. I simply had to put an end to that.
While glancing on Pinterest, I came across a recipe for Reese’s Peanut Butter Banana Bread. I absolutely adore the combination of peanut butter and banana (and the addition of chocolate truly doesn’t hurt). The recipe called for Reese’s mini cups but I used the traditional Reese’s miniature cups (you know, the ones that are individually packaged in a variety of cute pastel colored foils).
I sent the entire banana bread creation to work with my husband to distribute to his co-workers. They apparently enjoyed it with their morning coffees. I love it when I can make someones day and engage in healthy actions in my life.
P.S. The Godiva Easter dark chocolate gems are not going anywhere. I’m slowly still nibbling on those. Dark chocolate has healthy antioxidants, right?
